About the Director

Lynea Diaz-Hagan has been playing with language, voice and creative expression since childhood and attributes her love of the English language to her father, a fellow writer, and to Jack "Wordman" Kreitzer, an exceptionally gifted teacher. Jack taught that in writing and in life "there is risk in dignity and dignity in risk."

Taking her teacher's words to heart, Lynea enjoys helping clients stretch and take risks, as they expand their abilities to write and communicate with presence, clarity, and fearlessness.

A former Corporate Communications Manager, and a freelance writer and educator for several years, Lynea uses a broad set of business-oriented and educational tools to help her clients succeed. In her English conversation and accent reduction work, she draws on over ten years of vocal training, diction study and performance experience, as well as a deep appreciation for challenging tongue twisters.

Lynea has worked as a communications manager and consultant for technology companies NetSeer, Inc. and Haileo, Inc., as a presentations specialist for JPMorgan Chase & Company, Bain & Company and Morgan Stanley, and as an instructor for Compass Education and Premier Academy.

In addition to Windhorse Writing, Lynea's communications work includes fundraising pitch/presentations, branding and identity consulting for Silicon Valley startups.

Lynea received her bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Yale University and an MFA in Screenwriting from the School of Theater, Film & Television at the University of California, Los Angeles.
